The Locked Drawer

The Locked Drawer is a short story inspired by nostalgic family visits to New England each fall. It morphs into a ghostly trail of messages left by for me by my long deceased cousin Ellen who entices me to follow her lead along trail of family secrets….

The Harriman Estate

Gold Coast Mansions on the North Shore of Long Island are gorgeously atmospheric. They conjure stories of families and times long past, steeped in elegant wealth. I’ve always been inspired by these dwellings and their magnificent gardens. This story was written after one of many visits to Coe Hall, at Planting Fields in Oyster Bay, Long island.

Winsome the Cat

Seemingly just an adorable gray kitten, Winsome leads her new owner to a meeting with her mother’s ghost. The ghostly visitor, looking like a forties movie star in her hey day, exclaims that there is unfinished business between the two of them… Down the rabbit hole, anyone?
