Gold Coast Mansions on the North Shore of Long Island are gorgeously atmospheric. They conjure stories of families and times long past, steeped in elegant wealth. I’ve always been inspired by these dwellings and their magnificent gardens. This story was written after one of many visits to Coe Hall, at Planting Fields in Oyster Bay, Long island.

This true adventure of two young women musicians in the 1980’s sparkles with zany mishaps, successes and unexpected challenges.  As Sweet Rose Revue, my best friend Janice Buckner and I  created, booked and performed  concerts around in world in the 1980’s. 

Seemingly just an adorable gray kitten, Winsome leads her new owner to a meeting with her mother’s ghost. The ghostly visitor, looking like a forties movie star in her hey day, exclaims that there is unfinished business between the two of them… Down the rabbit hole, anyone?
